Phil Adam, born 1999 in Dresden, is currently student at the university of music “Carl Maria von Weber”. He plays electric and acoustic guitar in the styles of Jazz/Rock/Pop and worldmusic.
He had his first contact with the instrument as a little child picking the strings of his mothers old dusty guitar.
In January 2008 he got his first lessons with Gerlando Prestigiacomo.
From 2009 to 2018 he went to the music school “Sächsiches Landesgymnasium für Musik”. There he received a holistic musical education.
Back then he already took lessons with experienced university teachers such as: Prof. Ralf Beutler | Sina Neumärker | Malte Vief | Prof. Thomas Fellow | Martin Miller und Prof. Stephan Bormann.
Besides public concerts he participated in musical competitions. He won first prices countrywide in the categories Jazz-Solo, Jazz-Ensemble and Pop-Guitar. In 2016 he was awarded with the second price of the “Roland Zimmer” competition for classical guitar.
He was a part of international concerts and workshops in St. Petersburg and Copenhagen. In Germany he worked together with the Italien flutist Andrea Apostoli for several times organizing a children concert.
At the time Phil Adam plays a solo guitar program as well as Jazz Duos and Trios. He is part of the “Werkstatt BigBand”.
He teaches guitar and music theory.
